Burnside Bridge, Antietam National Battlefield, earlier today. Beautiful spot, I’m only a little sad I can’t do some fly fishing here.

Random (minor) predictions for 2025
- Mozilla continues random experiments instead of doubling down of Firefox.
- Kagi announces a new partner.
- TextExpander seeks new model amidst growing competition.
- Raycast makes an acquisition.
- FastMail acquires FMail2, or at least buys the developer a coffee.
- RSS enjoys tiny uptick in popularity. Nobody pays much attention.
- Flipboard resurgence.
- Chrome is spun off, but nobody can articulate how this helps.
- Tai Chi is popular again.
- Suddenly, there are so many social/feed aggregation services.
- The U.S. government is required to use X by executive order.
- Passkey adoption remains weak.
- Apple acquires Craft.
It feels like we are in a new era of browser choice (Zen, Orion, Arc, Vivaldi, etc.). I would love to see OmniWeb come back.
Second try! Well, that was fun. kottke.org/24/12/004…
